18-year-old Osbert Rodney from the community of Edinboro has been arrested and charged by law enforcement officers at the Criminal Investigation Department for the offence of attempted murder upon Christopher Wilson of the same address on September 22nd, 2017.
Rodney is said to have armed himself with a piece of steel on the date in question and inflicted a blow to the forehead of Wilson which resulted in severe injury.
The accused was escorted to the Serious Offences Court on Monday, September 25th before Chef Magistrate Rechanne Browne facing the indictable charge to which he was not allowed to enter a plea.
Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche objected to his bail and informed the Court that his reason for doing so was because Wilson is presently warded at the Male Surgical Ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital in a semi-conscious state and he is presently being constantly monitored by doctors.
He requested a seven-day adjournment during which time a written report will be presented to the Court for the Magistrate to determine whether his health condition has been improved.
Rodney was remanded into custody at Her Majesty’s Prison until October 2nd, 2017.
