The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) continues to benefit from the benevolence of Vincentians at home and those who reside in the diaspora.
On Thursday, July 7, 2021, retired Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ellsworth Hackshaw, on the behalf of former Police Constable #536 Hayden Thomas, handed over a quantity of face masks, hand sanitizers, first-aid kits, and an assortment of personal items to Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John at Police Headquarters. Thomas was a member of the RSVGPF from 1988 to 1990 and was attached to the administration.
According to Mr. Hackshaw, Mr. Thomas was a very reliable officer during his short stint in the organization. And even after his departure, his interest in the RSVGPF never waned. He said that it is Mr. Thomas’ hope that items donated would help members of the RSVGPF safe while on the frontline combating the coronavirus.
Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John expressed his appreciation on behalf of the RSVGPF to Mr. Thomas for the donation. The Commissioner said that he was pleased that Mr. Thomas was giving back to the organization which played an important role in his development. He noted that the items are timely and assured that they would be used to the benefit of Police Officers.
