EasySky a Honduran base low budget carrier which began flying to St Vincent from Cuba in June 2017, is currently in negotiations with authorities to recommence its twice weekly service.
The airline left a number of Cuban passengers scrambling to make alternative arrangements to leave the island in December 2017.
It was reported in December 2017 that the airline had reportedly fallen behind in its payments to the AIA, a senior airport official confirmed that EasySky owes the AIA, “as do other airlines”, but denied that the airport had blocked the airline from landing here.
Minister of Tourism without giving a precise date for the return of the airline said officials are in discussion with the airport authorities to finalise arrangements to have the airline Re commence flights.
Easy sky during it short stint had brought in some 221 passengers and outbound 242.
McKee said EasySky did not only give students a chance to get home easily but travellers, the majority of whom would have been Cuban shoppers.
