Persons who benefited from quick travel by sea, between Mainland St. Vincent and the Islands of the Grenadines, will be left disappointed in the absence of the MV Jayden Sun.
The management of the Jaden Sun, known as the ‘Fast Ferry’ said in a release on Friday, October 18, 2016, they “regret to advise that effective Tuesday 29th November 2016 the Jaden Sun will NO longer be in service to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines”.
“We thank you for your patronage over the years and regret any inconvenience caused. It was a pleasure serving you!” – the release added.
In September of 2016, the Fast Ferry, which provides fast inter-island passenger and light cargo service between mainland St. Vincent and the Islands of the Grenadines, announced that it would be on dry dock, until further notice.
It resumed service in October 2016.
The November 18, 2016, announcement that the Ferry “will NO longer be in service to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” comes as it is being purported that the Marine Vessel will be operated elsewhere.
Persons using ferry service to between the Grenadines and to mainland St. Vincent, will now only have the regular Ferries available, which take much longer periods of time, between the Islands, than the Fast Ferry.
