On Monday, lightning struck the waters off southern Puerto Rico and killed two people riding jet skis.
The lightning struck a 36-year-old man driving a jet ski, and then struck a 26-year-old woman riding a jet ski nearby. The driver of that watercraft was not injured.
According to police, the woman died shortly after being brought ashore, while the man died immediately.
