The longest-operating manufacturing company within the Frequente Industrial Park is expanding operations.
Grenada Investment Development Corporation (GIDC) welcomes the expansion plans of Sissons Paints (Grenada) Ltd. within the Frequente Industrial Park.
The company has leased an additional 10, 000 sq. ft of land to facilitate the construction of a new building to increase its production capacity.
Construction of the building commenced in September 2022 and is expected to be completed by December 2022.
Sissons Paints is poised to meet increased demands from within the OECS with the implementation of Article 164 of the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas.
This article provides for the protection of industries in Less Developed Countries (LDCs) until 2029 through the imposition of tariffs on similar products produced such as paints from More Developed Countries (MDC’s) which makes their products expensive and those produced in the LDCs cheaper.
