Man strangles wife to death for refusing sex twice in a night in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha
A 34-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district allegedly killed his 30-year-old wife after she refused his demand to “have sex twice in one night”, police said.
In a video statement before police, Mohd Anwar admitted to the murder. He said he woke up his wife on Monday (5) night for sex.
After some time, he wanted to do it again, but she refused. In a fit of rage, Anwar said that he strangled her to death with a piece of rope. Later, he packed the body in a polythene sack and dumped it 50km away from his home. The same day, he filed a police complaint that his wife of nine years had gone missing.
On Tuesday 6, police recovered an unidentified body of a woman near Ratupura village in Thakurdwara. After registering an FIR of murder at Thakurdwara police station, they started their investigation and shared the pictures of the body with nearby police stations. After the details matched with a missing complaint filed in Amroha, Moradabad police called Anwar for identification of the body. During questioning, he broke down and confessed to his crime, said police.
Victim Rukhsar, a resident of Amroha, got married to Anwar in 2013 and they have three kids. Anwar runs a bakery on the ground floor of his house, while his family lives on the first floor.
