Bad weather affecting LPG deliveries
According to the West Indies Oil Company (WIOC), bad weather prevents it from delivering liquid petroleum gas (LPG) to Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, and a number of other islands.
Gregory Georges, the chief executive officer of WIOC, made the announcement in a statement today.
According to Georges, since last week the weather has been a factor in berthing operations at the WIOC Sea Island Jetty and the multi-buoy mooring in Antigua and Barbuda.
In the statement, it was said that “WIOC’s supply of LPG to both the residential cylinder and commercial bulk sectors of our domestic market has been suspended.”
The business said it will resume regular operations when the weather improves later this week.
