CARIBBEAN AIRLINES’ NINTH 737-8 AIRCRAFT STARTS COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS
Caribbean Airlines reports that on December 16, 9Y-SUR, the company’s ninth 737-8 aircraft, entered service. From Miami International Airport to Piarco International Airport, the aircraft operated the return trip BW 484/483.
CEO Garvin Medera made the following statement regarding the ninth aircraft’s arrival into service: “The entry of our ninth 737-8 aircraft, 9Y-SUR into our commercial schedule, is another milestone in our fleet renewal. Our ability to dramatically improve the on-board experience for our passenger’s thanks to the new fleet has also helped the environment by reducing pollutants and fuel consumption. Positive customer feedback shows that we were successful in living up to our promise to REset Expectations.
