The Georgetown SDA Church in a Facebook posting said they are joining forces with RSVGPF in taking a stand against violence in the community.
“We are joining with Police force to say that as a Christian community we do not support or encourage violence of any form and it must stop”.
“We are losing too many of our youth to senseless crimes and criminal activities. We are hosting this Candlelight Vigil in support of the family of Sheldon Welch who lost his life by gruesome death allegedly at the hands of his brother”.
“These activities should never occur again and we are marching against it”, the churches Facebook posting stated.
The leadership of the Georgetown SDA Church invites the entire public, community, businesses, youth to stand with them in saying ‘End It Now’.
The latest murder in St Vincent is Sheldon Welch of the northern town of Georgetown. Welch was murdered on 2nd March.
