CED Technology Fair To Promote Digitalization for MSMEs
This week, business owners and the general public will have another opportunity to become acquainted with firms that provide products and services that will assist them in digitalizing their operations.
The Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED) will organize its second technology fair on Wednesday, October 25th, to promote digital solutions to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The Resilience through Innovation and Technology (RIT) MSME Recovery Programme, which aims to accelerate the growth of MSMEs in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) through innovation and technology, will host the Technology Fair.
From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the fair will be held in the parking park next to the SVG Postal Corporation in Kingstown. Several organizations, including the National Telecommunications and Regulatory Commission (NTRC), the Information Technology Service Division (ITSD), and the National Centre of Technological Innovation (NTCI), will exhibit at the event.
The Organization of American States (OAS) has provided a $100,000 grant to the RIT program through its Development Cooperation Fund (DCF). CED is implementing this project within the OAS/DCF’s 2021-2024 project cycle under the topic “Retooling MSME’s through Innovation and Technology.”
Mrs. Affia James Clarke, Acting General Manager, CED, encourages people from the MSME sector to attend the Technology Fair and meet and network with the exhibitors.
“The project’s goal is to assist MSMEs in achieving economic recovery and long-term development by promoting change in strategies and business practices through technology and innovation.”We encourage our business community, particularly small business owners, to visit and interact with the numerous organizations on show in order to learn more about how to integrate technologies to grow their operations.”
