A new song has been released by Ola Onabulé, a British Nigerian singer-songwriter known for his powerful performances and his capacity to cross musical boundaries with an unflinching, lyrical pursuit of truth and justice.
In his long-standing career, Ola has worked with the Grammy-winning WDR Big Band and has performed at some of the most respected jazz festivals, including Montreal, Istanbul, London, and Umbria.
His latest single, “Better Man,” is a retro pop/soul song made in collaboration with German songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Nick Flade.
Ola’s lyrics talk about a man finally seeing himself as a separate entity and being his own strongest judge and critic. This mid-tempo, groove-based song is sure to charm listeners with a sound that is reminiscent of the golden soul era of the 60s and 70s.
