- In St Vincent, Man sets himself ablaze after domestic dispute
Late on Wednesday night, a domestic altercation occurred in Choppins, resulting in Michael David Prince setting fire to a section of his family house.
Tragically, he subsequently lost his life in the ensuing fire early the following morning.
This unfortunate event occurred when Prince intentionally ignited his family’s two-story house and subsequently set himself on fire.
The incident took place while law enforcement personnel attempted to apprehend him in relation to a domestic argument, during which he had physically assaulted his wife by choking her.
Additionally, he caused damage to the windscreen of a rented vehicle that a family member was utilising, prior to succumbing to burn injuries within the charred bathroom of his familial residence.
The architectural integrity of the structure suffered significant damage, resulting in the loss of a substantial portion of personal possessions for the five individuals residing on the premises.
The authorities are currently engaged in an investigation.
