Block roads, land slippage, and flooded streets have been reported across St. Vincent due to rains emanating from a low-pressure system in the Central North Atlantic that is affecting the region.
The Met Office, in its 72-hour outlook on Monday, said the synoptic pattern remains largely unchanged for the afternoon, and a flash-flood watch remains in effect.
The road into Belmont was reported to have been blocked an hour ago, while parts of the road to Akers have been eroded.
In the southern section of the country, the main thoroughfare into Calliaqua was reported to be flooded, obstructing traffic to the windward side of the island.
The Met office says showers should decrease into Monday night; however, by Tuesday, expect moderately scattered showers across SVG again, dissipating around Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, showers are forecast to be mostly over the Grenadines, gradually building to the mainland during the morning, decreasing by afternoon into the night.
Scattered showers are anticipated on Thursday as the atmosphere remains unstable across SVG.
