Mr. Trevor Bailey, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, led a delegation of senior police visiting Mrs. Veolant Cupid, widow of the late Pastor Martin Cupid. On Sunday, December 17, 2023, Pastor Cupid died. He served as the pastor of Lauders Deliverance Church.
Pastor Cupid was a devoted police officer. As Assistant Police Chaplain, he was instrumental in the spiritual development of police officers over the years.
Furthermore, for the past 25 years, Pastor and Sis. Cupid, along with members of their congregation, have hosted Thanksgiving and Recognition Services for personnel of the Police Force. He made the cops feel unique and respected.
During the visit, ACP Bailey expressed condolences on behalf of the Commissioner of Police and other levels of the RSVGPF to Sis. Cupid, her immediate family, and the church family. Rev. Insp. Mark Ellis offered a special prayer for Sis. Cupid’s resilience amid her bereavement.
Cupid, the pastor “You put up a decent fight. You completed your course and remained faithful. As a result, a crown of righteousness has been prepared for you, which the Lord, the just judge, will bestow on you on the glorious day of his return.”
