- Child’s body found in septic tank
A terrible event involving a 4-year-old child is being investigated in the Grenada town of Grenville.
According to the Royal Grenada Police Force, Sharmon Gibbs of Mt Carmel, St Andrew’s, was discovered floating in a septic tank.
According to preliminary evidence, the youngster was left unaccompanied by a parent on December 20, and when the parent returned, the child was gone. A thorough search was carried out in the neighbouring locations.
The infant was later discovered unresponsive, floating in a septic tank with a hole at the top. He was rushed to the Princess Alice Hospital.
Attempts to resuscitate him were ineffective, and he was later pronounced dead.
The incident’s circumstances are presently being investigated, and officers are working hard to acquire all necessary information. The RGPF has stated that it is dedicated to conducting a thorough and unbiased investigation into the circumstances surrounding this regrettable tragedy.
To ascertain the cause of death, an autopsy will be performed. The Commissioner and officers of the Royal Grenada Police Force have expressed their heartfelt sympathies to Sharmon Gibbs’ family and loved ones.
