An aircraft (GLF3 Gulfstream) with the registration number N337LR went missing after taking off from Canouan airport (CIW) at 2:27 p.m. on Friday afternoon, carrying three passengers in addition to the pilot.
Unfortunately, specifics such as the pilot’s name, age, occupation, and address are unknown. The first contact occurred at 2:33 p.m., after which all communication halted.
The anticipated landing time in Canouan was 4:27 p.m. At 2:33 p.m., the pilot’s final communication with the control tower occurred, signalling the start of an inexplicable loss of all further contact. Notably, no distress signal was issued, and no radar signals or frequencies have been identified since.
The aircraft is equipped with a sufficient fuel reserve for 4 hours and 2 hours of airtime.
As a precaution, bordering countries Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Lucia, Grenada, and Martinique have been alerted and asked to be vigilant.
