- Trinidadian” Biche Girl” climbs highest mountain in Antarctica
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and the Arts wishes to congratulate Miss Safia Hosein on redefining the concept of “flying the flag high.”
Miss Safia Hosein became the first Trinidad and Tobagoan to summit Mount Vinson, the highest mountain on the snow-covered continent of Antarctica, on Christmas Day.
Miss Hosein stated, “I stood on the top of Mt. Vinson at 18:14 (6:14 p.m.) proudly flying the red, white, and black flags and the name of my hometown.”
Because no matter where I go on the earth, I’ll always be a “Biche Girl.”
