- Former parliamentarian Conrad Sayers has died at 75
Conrad Sayers, a former parliamentarian for the government of St. Vincent (SVG), has died. Sayers died on Saturday morning, according to a Facebook post from the Unity Labour Party.
Sayers was an agriculturalist, politician, and former president of the Public Service Union.
He was first elected to Parliament in 2001 and was re-elected in 2005.
Sayers was appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2001 and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office in 2005.
The Unity Labour Party family extended their heartfelt condolences to Comrade Sayers’ family and friends in their post.
