- MMDC RECIEVES DONATION FROM ST. MATTHIAS CHARITY
St. Matthias Charity Inc. has donated medical supplies to the Georgetown Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre.
Polyethylene gowns, gloves, ambu bags, surgical masks, endotracheal tubes, water resistance bandages, compression bandages, and crutches were among the medical equipment provided on Friday, December 29.
Idinger Miller-Walker, Deputy Hospital Administrator at the Georgetown Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre, expressed gratitude to St. Matthias Charity Inc. for the donation. She expressed regret that, as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, they are currently having difficulty obtaining some critical medical supplies. Miller-Walker expressed gratitude to St. Matthias Charity Inc. for always giving the hospital with these much-needed items.
Pastor Robert McBarnette, President of St. Matthias Charity Inc., expressed his gratitude for the hospital supplies. He stated that as someone who grew up in Dickson Village, he has always wanted to give back to the Georgetown neighbourhood. Matthias expressed gratitude to the New York benefactors who enabled him to donate the things to the facility.
Cuthbert Knights, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and the Environment, stated that St. Mathias Charity Inc. has been a constant donor to the Ministry of Health throughout the years, and he praised them for their contributions. He stated that the products donated today will be put to good use in ensuring the Modern Medical and Diagnostic Center’s continuous provision of quality treatment.
