American actor Christian Klepser, 51, who went by the stage name Christian Oliver and his two kids, ages 10 and 12, were killed tragically when their plane nosedived and plunged into the waters off Bequia.
Along with his two children, Madita and Annik. Robert Sachs, the plane’s pilot, was also killed.
Klepser has appeared in big films such as Speed Racer and Valkyrie, and he just participated in the latest episode of the Indiana Jones franchise.
In 1995, he had a long-running role on Saved by the Bell: The New Class, which was one of his first jobs in the United States. He also played a role in the popular video game Medal of Honour: Above and Beyond.
Around midday on Thursday, the tragedy occurred in the waters off Bequia, which is part of St. Vincent.
Oliver will be seen in the upcoming film Forever Hold Your Peace, which he also produced, and he recently finished filming his final scenes on December 20.
Nick Lyon, the director of his most recent film, paid tribute to Oliver by uploading a photo on their final day of production with the caption: ‘We talked about making a film together for years and finally achieved it!’ Thank you for being such a wonderful colleague, performer, and friend.’
According to accounts, he arrived in Bequia with his daughters on December 26.
Two days before his death, Oliver uploaded a snapshot of himself on a beach in a tropical setting with the comment, “Let love rule.” I wish you all the best in 2024.’
The actor, with over 60 credits on IMDb to his name, was a native of Germany who had been working in the US for 30 years
