Finance Minister Camilo Gonsalves will present a 1.6 billion dollar budget for 2024 on Monday, January 8, following the opening of the Fourth (4th) Session of the Eleventh (11th) Parliament at the Temporary Parliament Building in Calliaqua in the afternoon.
A parade will be under the command of the Superintendent of Police, Mr. Junior Simmons. Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Tecla Andrews-Thomas, will be the parade adjutant. The Guard of Honour will be comprised of non-commissioned officers (NCOs) and men from the RSVGPF and the SVG Coast Guard Service.
The Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr. Enville Williams, will arrive on parade at 3:45 p.m. The Hon. Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves, will arrive at 3:50 p.m. and receive a “General Salute.” Her Excellency, the Governor General, Dame Susan Dougan, will arrive at 4:08 p.m. and receive a “royal salute.”.
Following the parade, Her Excellency, the Governor General, will deliver the speech from the throne.
