The death of an American tourist is being investigated by the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF).
The 66-year-old guy, a New Jersey native, was snorkelling near Athol Island yesterday when he began encountering issues, according to police.
According to cops, the man was rescued after collapsing while attempting to board a vessel.
“Personnel on board the vessel immediately began CPR on the victim, who was then transported to Paradise Island, where emergency medical technicians awaited his arrival.” “The victim, who remained unresponsive, was taken to the hospital and examined by a doctor, who pronounced him dead,” police said in a statement.
The Asian-American man is the latest in a long line of American tourists who have died while partaking in aquatic activities in The Bahamas.
