- US Virgin Islands: Coast Guard searching for missing boater
On Sunday, Coast Guard air and surface teams began searching for a missing boater at Coki Point Beach and Thatch Cay on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
Todman Davaughn, 51, went missing after being propelled off a 30-foot white powerboat that crashed and spun out of control many times.
A 911 emergency operator relayed the complaint of a witness to the incident ashore to Coast Guard watchstanders in Sector San Juan.
The Coast Guard and Saint Thomas Rescue teams responded to the search with a boat, divers, and a drone.
Davaughn’s pal is claimed to have towed the yacht back to shore.
Last night, the Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Tezanos was expected to continue the search.
