A son is in custody after his parents were found murdered inside their home in Brooklyn.
Police remained outside the home on 45th Street in Borough Park on Saturday night. They responded to reports of a domestic assault just after 5 p.m., and when they arrived they found Jacob and Rachel Sperber, both 75 years old, stabbed to death inside.
Neighbors and friends say the couple were always willing to give and were always doing anything to help their own son. Family friends say they took him back in recently to help his battles with mental illness.
Eyewitnesses say their son was barricaded inside the apartment.
