More choppy seas are expected along St Vincent’s (SVG) coastlines over the next three days.
Last week, several vessels from the Grenadines could not dock due to rough seas in Port Kingstown.
The SVG Met office, in its 72-hour forecast on Saturday, said northerly long-period swells will continue throughout the forecast period, and there still exists the chance of surging breakers along the coastlines, which can be heightened during high tides.
SVG Met said monitoring will be done and updates will be provided.
Winds will blow from the east-northeast (ENE), becoming generally easterly (E) on Monday at 20 km/h–35 km/h. Seas are forecast to be moderate to rough in open waters starting Sunday, with swells ranging between 1.5 and 3.0 m.
A few light, isolated showers are expected today, Sunday, as a shear line lingers across the region.
A respite in haze is anticipated on Sunday, gradually increasing in intensity from Monday.
