Celebrated I-Queen’s Empress Roli and Onika – Queen of the Drum are on the cards.  Sultry songstress Ch’an and her band makes a much anticipated debut Barbados performance after extensively touring the Caribbean.
Flying in to perform is break-out reggae sensation Vanessa Lee Bongo, Bobo Ashanti Fyah Princess Jalifa – The Untouchable and Barbadian reggae ambassador Progress who are coming in from Jamaica, Trinidad and Canada respectively.
New talent includes roots/reggae musician Tuff I, Khalid and the Roots Collective, songstress Sheba Royal and FOCUS a reggae band comprised of students from Frederick Smith Secondary.
I-Queen’s Arts & Music Festival’s focus on women is balanced as we also highlight the conscious male energy and talent of AzMan, 1688 Orchestra, Albert Olton & Revalayshun Band and Iron Pipe – an amalgamation of the talented Dj Simmons, Simon Pipe, and Adrian Green who collectively will flavour the Festival with Fling style and spoken word expressions with a Roots/Reggae vibe.
I-Queen is a social enterprise that promotes and celebrates women in the arts, education, entertainment and enterprise and the Arts & Music Festival is indeed our largest empowerment initiative and a platform to showcase and promote Roots/Reggae/World music culture vibe that is very present Barbados and the world over.
Our mantra is Irie Roots Culture.  We are focused on family, fun, music and a good time, against the backdrop of Queen’s Park one of the Barbados’s most picturesque and centrally located national parks.  To ensure that families can take in this unique experience and talented line up we have made provisions for children ages 12 and under to be admitted FREE once accompanied by a ticket holding adult.
The Festival’s goal is to create an ‘Irie’ environment that promotes and celebrates positive music, encourages unity and highlights women in music, art, craft and culinary arts. Additional attractions at the Festival include a children’s play zone area, culture market, and an after party under the stars immediately after the last performance each day.
An eclectic selection of Djs will keep the vibe going during the two-day Festival. They include Dj D.Luxe, Dj Ayesha, Jerry Dan of Freedom Sounds, Prince Bazawule and Radar Sounds.
Gates open at 10am each day.  Showtime for the Main Stage is 1PM sharp each day.
