I am writing this letter to voice my concerns about homosexuality in St. Vincent.
We tend to forget that all of us are human and all of us sin every day of every sec either you’re thinking it or doing it behind closed doors we are not perfect if we were the world will be a better place but we try to be.
These laws concerning the LGBTQ+ were put in place when the island was still under British Rule.
I believe in freedom and if anybody who is reading this believe in such ideal should not have a problem with two man or two woman living their lives the way they want I see no biblical evidence stating god said everyone has to be straight.
And you may argue about Sodom and Gomorrah but tell me where did they say homosexuality caused it? Nowhere that’s where your next defense maybe that no man should lay with a man as he does with a woman now if this is your defense then tell me lets argue.
At the end of the day god had no problem with gays if he did he would of turn this world into ashes already. what happens behind closed doors and in the privacy of a man’s home it should not concern the church, the government.
The streets or neighbors. By not protecting and securing these people right to live and freedom of expression the government of St. Vincent is denying the fundamental human rights of these citizens.
And I call upon the islanders to voice their voice in matters like theses while reminding yourself that everyone has feelings and everyone thinks differently I say to my people don’t be afraid of change for change is what we might just need.
And I wish that someone will take it upon their self to sue the government for imposing on their human rights and to my fellow gays different is good be the best you that you can be if you pretend to be someone else then who would be you? Ask yourself that.
These people need
- A proper revision of the law
- A complete strike down of the sodomy law
- Shelters provided to help and support them
- Laws to protect and provide security toward them
- A discrimination bill should be passed
- A freedom of expression bill should be passed
- The right to choose bill should be passed
Then again where is the opposition in all this shouldn’t they tune their horns upon an international issue like this and I hope it’s in support its time for us to show thee people that we accept and support and willing to protecting them it’s time for our little island to move with the tide and play with the big boys
