I don’t have a title to the ULP, like how Sir James has one to the NDP. Such was stated by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves on Monday.
Gonsalves was referring to a question about whether Dr Kishore Shallow president of the SVG Cricket Association would be on the ULP ticket for 2020.
Gonsalves said, he can’t tell anyone who is a candidate for the ULP until the party goes through the process.
When asked if there has been any discussion surrounding Shallow being a candidate, Gonsalves said;
“Bing, If I had a discussion with Kishore about contesting, you think I would tell you or go about broadcasting it”.
Gonsalves said that whenever Shallow is ready to enter active politics he would be an excellent candidate.
“He is a patriot and a progressive young man, what you are telling people Bing, is that he is aligned to the ULP”.
