Etienne Charles a 24-year-old member of the Local Constabulary who is presently on bail on charges of burglary and conspiracy at the St. Vincent and the Grenadine Postal Corporation has been slapped with two additional charges.
According to reports Charles was intercepted by the Police at a house in the Arnos Vale area on September 15th, 2018 with one firearm which contained six rounds of ammunition without the relevant license.
He appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Wednesday September 19th facing two separate charges to which he had already entered not guilty pleas at the Family Courts.
When the issue of bail for Charles arose Prosecutor Adolphus stated his objection.
As a result, he was ordered to be detained at Her Majesty’s Prison until October 8th, 2018 when his trial is expected to commence.
