Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves is expected to address the 73rd UN General Assembly meeting in New York on Thursday 27th September 2018.
On Thursday 27th September 2018 he will address the General Assembly’s Third High-Level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Dr Gonsalves is also among leaders who are expected to sign the “Escazú Agreement” on regional environmental matters today.
The agreement is the first environmental treaty of the States of Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Agreement will grant access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean
It will be signed during a high-level ceremony at United Nations Headquarters, New York at 10:00 a.m. this morning.
