Two persons have died following an accident in the community of Gordon Yard on Sunday, 3oth September 2018.
The accident is said to have occurred around 9.30 am, it was reported that the driver of a Suzuki Escudo lost control and went over an embankment.
While the accident did occur in Gordon Yard, the specific area the vehicle went over is called (Chine man corner) and it is not the first time persons have plunged to their death while driving in that area.
A North Leeward resident told News784 this about the road following the accident; ” It would seem when you turn the corner you are going straight but it’s a swirling corner, I drive there all the time if you are not accustomed to that part of the road you have to be very careful”.
The victims have been identified as Frank Simon and Laverne Young. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
