The quick action by Law Enforcement Officers responding by certain information led to the interception of a quantity of marijuana at the Rose Place beach on Sunday, September 30th which resulted in the arrest of five men.
51 years old Eon Edwards of Murray Village, 30 years old Kezroy Edwards of Rose Bank, 27 years old Rafique Williams of Rose Bank, 40 years old Simon Isaacs of Gibson Corner and 24 years of Cyrus Prince of Rosebank of Rose Bank.
The men were all escorted to the Serious Offences Court on Monday, October 1st where Eon Edwards pleaded guilty and the other four men maintained their innocence to the possession of 4,707gms with intent to supply to another and trafficking and conspiracy before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne.
Adolphus Delpesche, however, requested that all five men be remanded into custody until Tuesday, October 2nd to seek further directions from the DPP.
The five men re-appeared in Courts on October 2nd the Prosecutor requested further adjournment indicating that he is yet to receive directions from the DPP.
They were all allowed bail in the sum of $20,000.00 with one surety and is to report to the police stations in their districts on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 am and 6 pm.
They are all expected to return to Court on Tuesday, October 9th to know their fate.
