Exeter Challenges Straker With Calls For By – Election

Written from source news

Ben Exeter has thrown out a challenge to Sir Louis Straker, telling him to resign and let a bye-election be held in Central Leeward.

Speaking after Justice Brian Cottle announced that the elections petitions will be heard later this month, Exeter said that Sir Louis was not as confident as he is making persons believe he is and called on the deputy prime minister to resign his seat, so that the two can stage a contest in Central Leeward.

Sir Louis won the seat last December by over 300 votes, but the NDP claimed Exeter won by six.

Exeter is now using the court for redress.
