Chair of the Caribbean Regional Network for people Living with and Affected by HIV & AIDS (CRN+) and Civil Society Representative for the OECS & Caribbean on HIV & AIDS Vincentian Winfield Tannis-Abbott is among forty five (45) Civil Society Representatives from the English, Spanish, Dutch and French speaking Caribbean attending the Second Regional Civil Society Forum under the Theme: “SHARING LESSONS BRIDGING GAPS AND FOSTERING SUSTAINABILITY”. Held at the Knutsford Court Hotel Blue Mountain Conference Room, Kingston Jamaica October 10 – 11, 2018.
The Regional Civil Society Forum (RCSF) provides an exciting opportunity for CSOs to showcase their work, learn from each other and deepen their understanding of innovative approaches to addressing the challenges in the Regional HIV Response. It provides an opportunity for networking and strengthening the linkages between CSOs and Key Population networks around the Caribbean.
Meeting Objectives:
1.Disseminate findings from key action research/implementation reviews undertaken by Civil Society in relation to Key Population in the Caribbean, analyse lessons learned and discuss strategies for improvement.
- Foster dialogue and promote active engagement of civil society to help fill knowledge gaps in the areas of human rights and policy monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for joint work and collaboration among civil society organization, government partners and other stakeholders towards building sustainable community and health systems.
The Forum is funded and sponsored by the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition (CVC) and Centro De Orientacion E Investigacion Integral, Inc (COIN).
