Vincentian Ian Allen, former West Indies test cricketer was appointed as a Sports Ambassador.
This announcement was made at the 39th Independence Day Parade on Saturday.
Independence Day greetings were sent to three nationals who are currently touring India with the West Indies Cricket Team: Sunil Ambris, Jomel Warrican, and Obed Mc Coy;
Obed was taking part in a One Day International on Saturday.
The government also expressed condolences to Sunil and his family on the recent passing of his father, Walford Ambris.
