Lara Carter a 34 years old resident of Ottley Hall who was on the run from the Police has finally been caught and slapped with a charge of attempted murder on 24 years old Bennisha Baptiste of the same address following an incident at Ottley Hall when Carter reportedly inflicted gun wounds to the legs of Baptiste.
Carter was escorted to the Serious Offences Court on November 5th, 2018 before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne facing the charge which was laid indictable to which he was not allowed to enter a plea.
When the issue of bail arose Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche strongly objected. He said following the incident Carter had evaded the Police and that a special unit was organized to go in search of him.
He also stated that Baptiste had expressed fear for her life.
As a result, Carter was remanded into custody for one week when his bail may be reviewed.
