Jerroy Phillips a resident from Redemption Sharpes who is presently before the Court on charges of robbery, conspiracy to robbery and kidnapping has once again been slapped by Police Investigator on another charge of robbery.
Phillips is accused of arming himself with a weapon at Indian Bay on November 1st, 2018 and by force deprived Osborne Bowens of Glen of a wallet, eighty dollars cash along with one licensed firearm which contained fifteen rounds of ammunition.
Phillips was on Tuesday November 27th, 2018 escorted to the Kingstown Magistrate Court facing the indictable charge before Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett to which he was not allowed to enter a plea.
When the issue of bail arose Prosecutor Corleen Samuel strongly objected citing that the firearm and ammunitions have been retrieved and investigations are continuing into similar matters. The Objection was upheld by the Senior Magistrate.
The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne fore Wednesday November 28th, 2018 to have a date set for the Preliminary Inquiry.
