Police are now investigating a shooting incident in Diamond on Thursday 6th December 2018, which has left one man dead.
On Wednesday law enforcement authorities on the island seized a cache of guns and ammunition during a joint operation in the Diamond community.
According to reports obtained by News784 the man who was shot on Thursday evening hails from the community of Victoria Village.
News784 understands the individual died on spot, we will withhold the name until it is confirmed by the authorities.
Acting on intelligence Wednesday police uncovered, one .357 magnum revolver, two 12 gauge shotguns, 1 MK1 rifle, one Glock pistol, a white mask, eight rounds of .9 Glock ammunitions, fifty-six rounds of 5.6 ammunitions, six shot gun rounds, three packages of fake money and two extended magazines.
At a press conference on Thursday 6th December 2018, Deputy Commissioner of Police Frankie Joseph told the media that five men are presently assisting police with their investigations.
