Dennis Richardson who is presently serving time at Her Majesty’s Prison for a gun related offence had today December 18th been given an additional three months jail term by Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett.
He was convicted for the offence of issuing threatening words to this country’s Chief Magistrate’s Rechanne Browne on January 29th, 2018 at the Serious Offences Court at the conclusion of the trial on Tuesday November 13th, 2018 before Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett.
Burnett had reserved his decision for today December 18th to properly review the evidence which was presented by both the Prosecutor and Defense.
During the trial several persons mounted the witness stand for the Prosecution which included Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne and several police officers.
The officers testified that on the date in question while being escorted from the Serious Offences Court while heading for the steps Richardson said that next time, he returns to Courts he will pelt a chair at the Chief Magistrate and spit on her.
However, in his defense Richardson said that he was only protesting the Magistrate presiding over his case and that she should withdraw herself citing that he will not have a fair trial and that he never uttered such threats.
His testimony was supported by both his mother and common-law wife.
