A Preliminary Inquiry on a charge of Robbery against DANROY JACKSON of Yamboo, which is said to have occurred on November 7th, 2018, upon LANSEY CARR of the same address is expected to commence at the Serious Offence Court on March 5th, 2019, before Chief Magistrate Réchanne Browne.
Reports are that on the date in question, Carr whilst walking on the Yamboo Public Road was approached by Jackson who during which time he pushed him to the ground and by force deprived him of $345.00 which resulted in his arrest.
The accused Jackson, was on Monday, 31st December, 2018, escorted to the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court facing the indictable charge before Senior Magistrate Ricky Burnette to which he was not allowed to enter a plea.
Court Prosecutor Lafleur Samuel did not object to his bail which was allowed in the sum of $7,000.00 with one Surety. However, the matter was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court today, Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019, to have a date set for the preliminary inquiry.
