(SKN REPORTER) – More RSS troops are heading to St. Kitts and Nevis as St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and Minister of National Security unveiled the same measures of a failing national security strategy to keep nationals and residents safe.
Friday night, after announcing several measures similar to those he announced following an increase in murders last October, a contingent of RSS troops from neighbouring Antigua and Barbuda arrived at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
RSS officers from St. Lucia and Dominica who arrived last October from St. Lucia and Dominica were recalled late last year.
The RSS soldiers came to St. Kitts late last year after the St. Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce publicly acknowledged that “crime in the twin-island Federation has reached a new and dangerous level” and had become “a major threat to the peace, stability and security of St. Kitts and Nevis and to the economy.”
