Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a motor vehicle accident that occured on 17.02.19 along the Fountainpublic road, which claimed the life of Owani Haynes, 26 years old labourer of Roseau.
The accident involved motor vehicle RL-163, a blue Toyota Rav-4 owned by Hailey Anciant of Sion Hill and driven by Xarie Brereton, 26 years old Labourer of Roseau and motor vehicle PT-838 a yellow Mazda car owned by Una Sayers of Cane Hall, which was parked off the main road to the western side of the Fountain Public Road.
Owani Haynes who was a passenger of M/V Rl-163 was pronounced dead on the scene by the District Medical Officer (DMO).
The other passengers of the said vehicle Elton Andrews, 26 years old Labourer of Sion Hill, Xarie Brereon, and PJ Castello, 13 years old Student all of Roseau are currently patients at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Both motor vehicles extensively damaged. Investigations continue into the matter.
