The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines unequivocally condemns the senseless and unjustified killing of approximately forty-four (44) Indian Paramilitary police in a bomb attack on Thursday 14th February, 2019 in Indian-administered region of Kashmir.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines reaffirms its commitment and resolve to fight against terrorism in all of its forms taking into account the undue effects it has on innocent civilians. Terrorism is an unacceptable affront to all humanity and must not be condoned or sanctioned by any law abiding State. To this end, the perpetrators of this dastardly criminal act must be prosecuted and be held accountable.
The fight against terrorism is a major priority for all of our countries and we reiterate our commitment to working with the international community to prevent and suppress terrorist acts in all its forms.
Mindful of the nature of the relations, historically, between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines which has diplomatic relations with both States calls for dialogue and the promotion of peaceful co-existence of Pakistanis and Indians within their borders.
