In December of 2018, my wife and I bareboated a catamaran throughout your Islands. It was one of the best trips of our lives.
Every stop we made from the mainland to Petite St Vincent was a joy. The people were friendly and helpful.
We loved it so much we’re planning to do it again next year. However, we were horrified at the recent news of the slaughter of a Humpback whale at Bequia.
I ran whale watches in Hawaii for years and can tell you that the economic value of these animals alive and well far outweighs the short term gain from killing one.
Case in point. Until you outlaw this heinous and needless killing I will make it my personal mission to discourage people from visiting SVG starting with our own return.
Which will cost you about EC$32,400.00 in tourism dollars. PLEASE STOP THIS!
Sincerely,
Captain Mark Collins
