News784 has been informed that the 35-year-old Vincentian woman, who was arrested and charge with importation of liquid cocaine into Barbados on Monday night ,was given until the 15th of June to pay or face jail.
When she appeared in court yesterday she was given the ultimatum to either pay 67,000 Thousand Dollars or spend 3 years in prison.
Police say the 35-year-old woman arrived in Barbados from St Vincent by air on June 6.
When Customs officials searched her luggage, two bottles containing a liquid substance was found. Police say tests revealed the liquid to be cocaine.
