Accountant Dominic Sutherland hopes to crunch the numbers and bring home the Central Kingstown seat into the fold of the ULP (Unity Labour Party).
The seat is currently being held by Opposition MP St Clair Leacock, and has been that way since 2010.
Sutherland was introduced to Vincentians last Thursday at the Unity Labour Party’s rally in Kingstown, where the party celebrated their 18th year in government.
Sutherland said the journey has officially begun.
“It’s time to put the people of Central Kingstown first. We don’t have to wait for the pie to grow for our constituents’ needs to be attended too”.
Sutherland said we simply need our representative to act with decency, humility, and honesty.
“ Decency being our watchword and love being our guide”. he said. The Unity Labour Party won Central Kingstown in 1998, 2001 and 2005.
