The Ministry of Education is once again partnering with Hodder Education to stage the National Primary Schools Math Quiz.
The preliminary round got started on Tuesday, April 23 and will run until April 30 at various venues across the country. The quiz will culminate with the finals in May. Last year’s winner was the Cane End Government School represented by Amara Adams.
According to a release from the Ministry of Education, the competition targets students of grade 5, giving them the opportunity to showcase their capabilities in math and to develop a love for the subject.
The local representative of Hodder Education, Byron Wilson, says that the company shares the Ministry’s vision of fostering positive attitudes in the teaching and learning of math.
Hodder Education is part of the Hodder Education Group of Publishers, one of the largest educational publishers worldwide, with over 100 years of publishing history.
