Thousands of Vincentians from all walks of life are paying their last respects to Mr. Alexander John Clarke Horne, former Minister of Government and former Member of Parliament for West Kingstown, who passed away on Monday, 22nd April, 2019.
Horne who was accorded an Official Funeral on Friday, 3rd May, will be given his last rights at the St. George’s Cathedral, Kingstown.
Official viewing of the body was held earlier on Friday, at the House of Assembly from 10:00 am to 12:45 pm. Officials viewed from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, and the general public from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm.
The funeral service commenced at 3:00 pm. The service was preceded by open tributes from 1:30 pm. Interment will be in the churchyard.
As a mark of respect, all flags throughout the State is being flown at half-mast on Friday, 3rd May, 2019.
