The Death of Berkley Nanton, an 82-year-old male of Lowmans Leeward, is now classified as a homicide.
Nanton’s body was discovered with extensive burns during a house fire at Lowmans, which occurred about 8:30p.m. on June 24th, 2016.
He succumbed to his injuries on June 25th, 2016, approximately 4:40 a.m.
Police discovered that a molotov cocktail was used to start the flame.
Initially the case was treated as arson
